Virtual Learning
Currently due to COVID-19, Ms. Hopkins' class is a hybrid class. We have virtual learners and face to face learners. Students who are fully virtual are expected to participate in at least 4 hours of learning a day! Virtual learning will take place on the website Seesaw, where students will receive virtual assignments that are user friendly. Seesaw is designed to allow students to complete assignments and view video lessons with minimal support from parents. All students will be virtual EVERY MONDAY!
Zoom meetings are available for one-on-one teaching and may be used for some small groups.
Every Monday we will have review zoom lessons, even for face-to-face students!
Ms. Hopkins will send out individual invitations for zoom meetings. These will be sent through Seesaw, email or classdojo. Please make sure that you have Zoom downloaded on your device.
The Kids A-Z app is where your child will access RazKids, our reading app. Here your child will have assignments to listen to books, read them independently, and answer comprehension questions. Your child will also be able to explore the Reading Room where they will be able to choose their own books to practice reading, which is a big part of our kindergarten learning!
Ms. Hopkins will send you an individual code/password to enter this app. Please message her on classdojo if you need it to be re-sent to you!
Seesaw is the website where we will be conducting the majority of our virtual learning. Assignments will be posted every day with voice instructions from Ms. Hopkins. Once submitted, Ms. Hopkins will provide feedback and grades for completed work. Some work may be returned for re-submission. Please make sure to check on assignments daily!
You can access seesaw through clever or through the link below with a code provided by Ms. Hopkins that will be sent to you through classdojo!

We will be using clever to access several of the apps that we will be using during the year, including Seesaw. Please make sure to download the app for clever onto your device. Every child has a unique QR code from the school to log in to clever. This was included in your kindergarten welcome packet. If you do not have a code or it does not work, please contact Ms. Hopkins on classdojo to get another code!
We are living in trying times and moving into new territory by having a hybrid class. Most of us are experiencing stress due to the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19 and the economic troubles we may be facing. Please contact Ms. Hopkins if you find yourself in need of any help. We have to work together to get through this and we want every child to be successful and every parent to feel confident as we move forward into this very different learning experience!
